Anna Zinkeisen was a 20th Century artist born August 28, 1901 in Kilereggan, Scotland. She was studied fine art at the Royal Academy Schools in London, where she won several medals, and her sister Doris Zinkeisen was a highly regarded artist in her own right. In Paris, she exhibited at the Salon of French Artists in 1926, where she won a silver medal. She continually exhibited her paintings at the Royal Academy in London, Royal Scottish Academy, Redfern and other major galleries across Europe. She completed murals on liners Quenn Mary and Queen Elizabeth. Her work is represented in the National Portrait Gallery (self-portrait), Imperial War Museum and private collections worldwide.
