Henri Victor Lesur also known as Victor Henry Lesur was a pupil of François Flameng a professor at the School of Fine Arts . It began in the Paris Salon (where he lived, 74, Rue Demours 1 ) in 1885 and exhibited there until 1900. Many of his works are performed, like many of his contemporaries, on small wooden panels. His style is partly inspired painters of the xviii th century, such as Jean-Honoré Fragonard and François Boucher . He was awarded the Universal Expositions of Paris of 1889 and 1900. It gave its name to a prize awarded by the French Artists Salon .
