Albert Porcher was born in Orleans, France on March 8th, 1834. As as student from Lambinet, he made his debut at the Salon in 1865 with Une Falaise en Bretagne and often produced landscapes and seascapes inspired by his frequent travels. He was a master of watercolor, and often painted scenes of Venice through the mist, the coast of Brittany, Normandy, and the beauty of Holland. He found great joy painting tranquil still lives of flowers. Museums which have featured his work include the Toulon Museum, the Orleans Museum, and the Bayeux Museum.
