Jules Bahieu was born in Dour, Belgium in 1860 and died in 1895. He is best known for painting landscape scenes of every day life. Bahieu exhibited in the Salon in Paris between 1885 and 1895. His painting, Le petit rechapt à Vitré (1882) belongs in the château de Vitre. Museums which exhibit his work include the Louviers and the Eugene-Boudin de Honfleur.
