Leonie Mottard Van Marcke was born in Belgium in 1862. He is best knows for his watercolor paintings as well as being a daftsman of flowers and still life, as well as landscapes and figures. Van Marcke was a pupil of the painters Edouard V. and Catherine Demany. Van Marcke also participated in the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris and the Triennial Salons in Belgium while also being a member of the National Society of Watercolors and Pastellists. Leonie Mottard Van Marcke died in 1936.
